Healthy Kitchen Cooking Class
Grab your chef’s hat and head to the Petersonville Healthy Kitchen for an interactive cooking class! Enjoy working together with family and friends to craft home-made recipes with direction from our staff. Participants will learn healthy living habits, cooking tips and tricks, and facts about the ingredients being used.
Young chefs will prepare delicious and healthy Whole Wheat Vegetable Pasta during this 45-minute interactive cooking class. This class focuses on the nutritional value of eggplant and how it may be used as a meat substitute. Participants will saute vegetables including onion, yellow bell peppers, cherry tomatoes and eggplant in olive oil and toss it together with whole wheat spaghetti.
Cost: $20 per setting (each setting can accommodate 1-4 people). Participants must have valid general admission tickets or a Discovery Cube membership. This class is recommended for ages 4 and up.
*Food allergies must be disclosed to the class chef at check-in. This recipe is ova-vegetarian. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
