A fun, interactive cooking class focused on educating guests in the health of foods. Classes are run by a staff chef who works with the guests to create unique and healthy dishes. The chef teaches the guests about the nutrition of ingredients, helpful cooking and preparation techniques, food safety/handling, and having fun while cooking.Participants will create a loaf of gingerbread using flours, spices, olive oil, and milk. Guests will learn the chemistry behind bread-baking and receive nutritional information on certain ingredients as the class progresses.
While the gingerbread loaf is baking, guests will make their own whipped cream using mason jars and heavy whipping cream. Guests will then receive their loaves, taste them, and exit, concluding their class time. Cost: $30 per setting (each setting can accommodate 1-4 people). Participants must have valid general admission tickets or a Discovery Cube membership. This class averages around 60 minutes and is recommended for ages 4 and up.
*Food allergies must be disclosed to the class instructor at check-in. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
