Discover animals that live around you and some that can be found around the world while getting up close and personal with animal ambassadors at this interactive summer camp. Projects include making edible nests, designing a turtle shell, and so much more!

Does your child love science and want to become a Discovery Cube expert? This camp focuses on many different areas of science, giving your child a chance to experiment, dissect, and build throughout the week. Explore DinoQuest, cook snacks in the Petersonville Healthy Kitchen, and discover decomposition in our Organic Waste Lab. At the end of the week, campers will combine their knowledge of the Cube and its exhibits with STEM concepts to create a massive chain reaction.

Kids prepare for an adventure: Getting to and living on Mars! Campers will explore the engineering process by designing a rocket ship to start their journey. Campers will then create a Martian Lander to get them safely on the ground. In collaboration with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the Discovery Cube has designed a week of excitement and learning for campers that is sure to be out of this world!

Marsh Madness

Kids explore the wonderful world of water through an exploration of the San Joaquin Marsh and Newport Bay. Your child will become a citizen scientist through observation and tracking of various animals found throughout these environments.  This camp includes a special one day field trip to Discovery Cube’s Ocean Quest in Newport Beach.

Calling all budding computer scientists: Code Constructing camp needs you! Campers will learn all about computers, from circuitry to programming, as they experiment with programming software and alter the real world through physical computing. To pull all their new skills together, campers will build a sensor-based prototype and operate it with their own unique codes. This camp includes a Friday afternoon showcase for the campers’ families.

Combining coding with 3D aspects, your child will experiment with many different types of hardware and software in “Discovering Digital Designs: the 3rd ‘D’imension”.  Campers will be introduced to more advanced computing software while splitting their time between physical computing and coding, all while becoming familiar with programs used by real professionals in the technology industry.

Monkey Business

Do you have a future zoologist or veterinarian in your home?  Campers take a walk on the wild side and have a blast monkeying around with this exciting hands-on adventure! Kids make animal friends and take home knowledge about the art and science of running a zoological facility. A highlight of this camp is a Friday afternoon showcase for the campers’ families.

At this exciting camp, kids entering Kindergarten through 2nd grade will learn about the diverse creatures that inhabit our planet.  Within our private classroom at the Santa Ana Zoo, campers will experience a variety of interactive activities featuring up close and personal animal access, animal-themed story time, zoologically-based art projects and so much more!

*Valid Discovery Cube Membership required for member pricing.
Membership must be valid on the 1st day of summer camp.

**Cancellation Policy:

Per child, cancellation must be confirmed three weeks in advance of the purchased camp date.

Refund includes a $40 service fee per camp.
